anybody ever used anything like this one from paddocks? Any thoughts on effectivness?

those types are good in rocky and hard ground.but less effective in soft  earth.for softer ground you need the shovel type.

bloody lot of hard work as well is what i know off them,  sledge hammer needed instead of a winch which does it for you!!

I use the devon 4x4 one

WOW!!!  It really works.  If you REALLY stuck, forget it and it depends on the ground.  If the ground is riddled with vegitation or is really clay like, it will work in nearly all situation, if the ground is too dry, its acts like a great plough!!

My mate is selling one for £80 if you wanted one

paddocks one is £50 and I only want it for emergancies so I am hopeing to never use it. :lol:

At a recent challenge I the last slope was undriveable, juts a clay mass so EVRYONE had to winch up using ground anchors


The guys with that particular model struggled, it kept coming out but they did finally get it to work!

The model also takes up less space for sure so if its just for emergancies, maybe its a better option

I'd still go plough  :twisted:  :wink:

on the OBC they dont use anything BUT the plough
