Recently the local rag The Newcastle Evening Chronicle ran a story of a guy's Hummer being repeatedly vandalised.
He'd get it repaired lo and behold some scumbag does it again.
The same rag runs a vent my spleen column, this was in it tonight.
"I would like to vent my spleen about ( named humvee owner) whose Hummer 4x4 vehicle was vandalised . While one does not condone vandalism, why on earth is he driving such an enviromental catastrophe?
He lives in Jesmond and works in the centre of Newcastle does he need something that uses as much petrol and causes parking problems like that? And he wonders why it's attracted attention. He should be banned from city centres." from PS Elswick
Another anti 4x4 nut I think one doing the vadalising and one "venting their spleen" Well I have in return and would be grateful if others would also do so the vent my spleen number is 0191 201 6170 leave a message and your initials or e, mail ec.news@ncimedia.co.uk text on 07736101010.
I would love to drown the paper in support for the owner who has had their hummer mindlessly vandalsised and shout down PS of elswick
Thanks all

Had me rant..................

Thanks Jas.
I think if it was Mr sourness's Hummer it would be in the Tyne by now
-
Maybe next time the Hummer owner wont wear a Mackem shirt to work!
Apart from that what do they hope to gain through breaking the law? I doubt a defence attorney will use the argument that it is a gass guzzler as a reason for letting the little scroat go!
Sounds more like vehicle envy than true enviroment worry.

Update on an old story
The owner of the Hummer has been in the paper again for a different reason.
Broke down at the weekend no recovery truck available big enough till the monday.
Goes back to get car recovered monday am and it's been impounded, he hadn't paid his road tax
-
Not a certian bankrupt ex-boxer then?
-
Nope guess again
A nightclub owner apparently, and not that one in Soho
-
he must've spent all his cash on repairing vandalism
