Just want to wish all you mudders a good weekend, my time will be filled to the brim I think.
Driving lessons Saturday from 9.00 til 5.00
Brierfield Sunday off roading :D
And more DIY in the garage on Monday
Hardly room for a pint and a butty!! :)
I might even be glad to be back at work Tuesday (I only said MIGHT!!)
Enjoy
-
Unfortunately I will not see much mud this weekend.
I will be languishing around the pool drinking the odd beer in what will hopefully be glorious weather. You just gotta love expenses
Have a good weekend all . . . .
See some of you on the 16th hopefully.
-
If the weather's right I'll be finishing off the work on my Disco as I can't drive for another couple of weeks. Hopefully it'll all be finished in time and I can get it muddy.

Oh, & packing cardboard boxes inbetween. Plus the windscreen washers have packed in for some reason on the Discovery

hmm hang on
i think its called maspalomas or something
the downside is that the flight leaves at 7am monday morning so have to be in manchester airport by 5 (only 25mins from home)
gonna be an early night on sunday..
rather have an early flight than a late one with the little one going too. cos he's a [!Expletive Deleted!] to get to sleep.!
-
Quite nice in Maspalomas. We used to go to a restaurant there called Bronchimar in Faro II shopping centre. The food was great, Fillet Mignon, mmhhh, lip smacking good
Enjoy the sun and watch out for that midday heat, it burns but not so you notice with the breeze.
If you are taking any yound children, keep em well out of it and take a siesta when the locals do :D
-
cheers robbie thanks for the advice
yeh the little one is going
ive only been burnt proper.. once
it was on a poolside in sri lanka
i think it was 35 or 40 degree heat but cos i was in the cool pool i didnt notice..
till i had to fly to thailand and was itching like mad
was worse when had to fly home to heathrow (14hr flight) cos i couldnt sit still
i think i drove my wife nuts at that point cos i got a bruised rib or two
-
Ouch, yeeh I have seen some terrible tomatoes in the Canaries, not nice.
Plenty of liquid (I like that excuse anyway..) and sunblock for the kids. I think we used the highest factor there was and then slept in the afternoons when the locals did, that way we had the time to stay up later with the kids and tire them out for the evening :)
ave fun and lets see the piccies when you get back... :D
-
caroline has bought this expensive stuff for trystan i think is factor 40 or something
makes sense though, if its expensive it must be good..
not!
will take plenty of pics both on my phone and with my camera

Dyf,
If I were you I'd get some total block (factor loads) for the little one. Wouldn't want to risk anything while on holiday :?
Needed some of it myself the first time I was here in Delhi (it's currrently 40 degrees plus, but I'm getting used to it)
Have a good time away
