Title: Car lift
Post by: Dave on February 05, 2006, 11:38:31
This has to be the best tool in the tool box for any land rover owner, Its brilliant. The guy that owns it "Chris Franklin" has had it made for setting up cars for the track mainly porsches, ferrari or any other race car. Chris sets the chassis to the track for the best performance. But as you can see very good for the crusty old land rovers too. He is hiring his kit and him self out at track days and other motor sport events.
By the way disco having a new rear cross member on it.

Do you have a locking washer on the bottom of your steering arm. They are usually very tight.

yes but for some strange reason. When you fit a new steering box  the pitman arm bolt always comes undone

doesn't really give you a very large working surface if you have to stand on a trailer to work,

would prefer lust to have a 4 post lift on the drive way or in the shed like we have!!

me xxx

Will it lift a 4.5 tonne, 20' long Land Rover?  That would be rather useful...  4 point lifts just aren't really big enough.

James it is designed for setting the tracking and camber on sports cars, so you work down the sides its got all sorts of attachments for lifting in different places. As for room found no problem removing fuel tank and replacing rear cross member.
4.5 tons    I think the limit is 3.5 tons you will have to have a bigger 6 wheeler made.
