Has anyone fitted a 265/75/16 tyre on a Freestyle alloy wheel code 7J 16
Being told it cannot be done needs to be a 8 or 8.5J
Always thought this was a popular fit?

I have that size tyre on steel wheels...........if that helps ya.

I cant see why a seven inch width should cause any problems at all.

265/75 onto a 7" rim is fine
- dont let anybody tell you otherwise

My spare is a 265/75R16 on a 7J alloy
No problems.

I've got 265/75x16 BFG's with a 2" lift. the only place they catch is the rear of the rear wheel arch. You can either move out the bracket that bolts the wing to the frame, or trim off the bottom of the wheel arch. take it back about 1.5 or 2" at the bottom, and taper the cut up to the lower swage line.

I have 265x75 bfg muds on freesyle and xs deep dish (freestyles for sale, check out for sale section)
both are std landrover fitment alloys and both are 7jx16
so no probs fitting them to 7" rims
hope this helps :D
