I hate Motorla's with a passion. They chase the style market instead of focusing on a phone to actually make calls. I'd recommend a Nokia over a Moto anyday, much better built phones.

Hate Motorola too....

Nokia or Sony Erricsson have done me well, good sync software etc.

So now work gave me a blackberry... :( (That won't even sync over Bluetooth)

The Girlys Siemens CL75 has pretty awful software too... I guess if you spent time with it, but it is not intuitive.... Not tried sync'ing that though.

Not sure if Motorola have changed, but they used to have the most key presses just to make a call.

My thruppence worth

Motorola nice looks, but the crappest software on the device ever.

Nokia have the software, but sometimes lack the looks.

Also I can forgive looks for usability anyday.

Any Nokia on Symbian 60 platform can sync to Outlook todo, contacts, calendar and some even mail.

Hello Moto, Byebye Moto

I want the new Nokia E70 (Look it up) looks awesome and a good upgrade for mine (6822).

The V3 is possibly alright, although my grandad has one and It won't connect to my PC even though 3 Nokia's and an 02 one does. The Nokia's may not be stylish, but by god there reliable, good to work with and really easy to use. I love mine, and it'd take a lot to pull me from them.

And I've gotta say, I was expecting to be ripped apart for anti Motorola comments...

I am the proud new owner of a Nokia 6280, but does have a fault similar to most mobile phones!!!!!

It can't support the weight of a 30 tonne articulated truck!!! My heart sank as i realised I had just ran my phone over!!

Waiting for the replacemnt to be sent.

It has good easy to use features and the MP3 files sound great, the radio signal is a bit weak, but the pictures come out well and bluetooth everything to the PC

Sogster!!

does it sync with outlook for my contacts and calendar?

signal a bit weak.. is that not to do with the airtime provider rather than the phone itself though?

I'm debating replacing my old faithful 3310 with something else Nokia (definately a non 'fippy-thing')

Still got one of these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Virgin-TMob-Motorola-M3788-Simple-Mobile-Phone_W0QQitemZ9102548143QQcategoryZ3312QQtcZphotoQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) downstairs.

It's a PAYG, but due to not being used for well over 3years, it's been 'barred' & there's about £15.00 left on it.

I'll have to get it de-barred (if possible)

I've said to you before BTM hunt down a 6310i and it'd make a great phone for you. It's basically a 3310 with Bluetooth and Infared, and it's built like an APC.

Have a look at the Sony K750i

Cheap and has all the bits that the w800 has. Full Java, MP3 player, Great 2mp camera, Full sync with Outlook. Radio.

The camera works like a camera and not a phone, it has lights to allow night photograpy and you can even buy a flash for it.

Had mine a couple of months and very, very impressed with it. Also like the fact that the software allows you to update the flash memory of the phone without having to send it in like all my old nokia's.

ive just changed my phone from a motorola v635 to a nokia.
The motorola had to be repaired twice in the last 12 months and each time it took 3 weeks.

Staying with nokia..not had a single problem with any ive owned.

The N70 Covers all that, and is an Amazing phone to boot.

Other Options include the N90, N91 or E70.

Since syncing with lookout, doh I mean Outlook, is a priority for you why don't you try something like a Orange SPV C500, C550 or C600 phone?

I only suggest because it runs Windows and therefore it will definately sync like you need.  The camera is not that high res on the C500 but adequate and it's a 1.3M on the C600 but pretty good quality.

I've had a C500 for well over a year and I had a Moto MPX200 before that with no real problems except the lack of bluetooth - still got it somewere!  I swapped the C500 for a C600 just the other day for no other reason than it didn't cost me anything and the difference is unreal.

If you don't like Orange then go for a C500 and get it unlocked - I can tell you how to do it for FREE of you go down this route.

You may read this and be forgiven for thinking I'm pro Windows; I'm not, but it makes sense to have Windows on both devices as they're more likely to work together for syncing etc.

Just my two penneth.

i already have the c500 and dont like the layuout of the keys and the phone has some delay issues when using keystrokes which makes you think it didnt read what you pressed so you press it again and it messes up

imight look at the c550

but my main reason for syncing my contacts is so that i dont have two sets and if i lose either list (phone or pc) one sync later and they are all back
