can you safely tow a Automatic, it is a Shogun i need to either get going or Tow it back to mates. Will be towed about 20 miles

i believe you will need to drop the propshaft off so the axle doesnt drive the box, its not good for an auto

15 miles is usually the max suggested distance you tow an Auto, it's because the lube oil is circulated by the hydraulic pump which is driven by the engine, so after 15 miles the oil needs moving round to prevent it breaking down. You could try sticking the transfer box in neutral (although on a later RRC with B-W the t-box also has a pump). Dare I ask if you have the owner's manual?

get a trailer or spend half an hour taking props off.you will be glad you did.
