Hi, I haven't posted anything on here before, but got up this morning and some low life scum bag has taken the top off my safari snorkel !!!! I'm off to sharpen my axe to remove there hands if I ever find out who has taken it. Does anyone know where I can buy just the top from ?

Sorry to hear about that. Out of interest is there any thing we can all do to deter or prevent this happening. Apart from setting up camp on the bonnet with a sharpened ( or blunt ) axe?

One thing you can do is to use a spanner to tighten the large jubilee clip so that they can't get at it with a screwdriver. Or pop rivet it into place although I turn mine around if I'm doing any big mud splash stuff. So I don't pop rivet mine.

My Mushroom type one has a Self Tapper in it, after the first one disappeared. Like wanderer says though if you have a safari style one, it will prevent you turning the end around.

Hmm as mine was only fitted on Saturday I shall do something to prevent it happening I think. What about a bolt all the way through with a nut on the end then you could still undo the bolt and turn it around iff needs to be?
