I was on Slapton Line earlier, nothing else around, so thought I'd time my 0-60 time. It's a straight road of about 2.3 miles, next to a beach. (60mph speed limit, so nothing illegal.)
We got to 50mph in 1min 38s, and didn't get any faster... After 2 mins 40 or so we'd run out of Line, and had dropped to 49mph. Oh well!

Is that the one down in South Devon, sea on one side lakes on the other?
Some very nice pubs in the village IIRC.

Audi is 7.6s
Suzuki is about 12....
Months if you give written notification to the engine a year in advance

In other words the only thing that reaches 60 on your machine is the minute hand on the clock

0-60 measured in days, turning circle the size of wales, suspension system developed for horse drawn vehicles in the medevil times... yeah, i love the performance of my truck

A couple of years ago we were helping at an event on the former RAF Bentwaters in Suffolk. During the lunch break we tried a drag race along one of the runways. My 110 sat next to a modded SII. The SII actually managed a chirp from the tyres as we set off!! And he even managed to keep up until we passed 40mph.... then I managed to leave him behind. I think we topped out at about 80mph, but only just before we ran out of runway

Ex work collegue of mine drive a genuine US Muscle car, 2003 Ponitac Firebird WS6 5.7l
Took it down the 1/4 mile at Sanata pod and I was convinced I was going to die, just a shade over 3.5 seconds.
The boy-racer in his fast and furious Skyline couldnt beleive that he lost to a yank tank :)

To give you an idea, a 16v Mk2 golf gti is around 8.8 seconds, had a 1.8 injection engine, I imagine a tad over 100bhp as my old 1.8 audi with the same (but carb) engine was 90bhp. To get a land rover hitting high 8's, you must have something very nice under that bonnet!!! :) /jealous!
My other car sits in the garage all the time, no idea on its 0-60, but would think its somewhere in the 7's. Bit poor for todays preformance, but it is 25 years old :) and 4wd...

So is that quick enough to outpace a colour blind rhino ?
Last time I tried to get Morph up to 60 I think I'd already got to work and forgotten the origional intention
Much better on the Mway 60- 65 but I find 55 less harsh on the lobes.
