picking up my new 90 on the weekend and would like to know if i would be abble to fit my 36"simex on there i will be fitting a 3" lift in the next 2 weeks but for now would like the bigger tyres on
-
they should fit without lift kit, but don't try any off-roading untill got the lift on, or good bye to inner wheel arches and ruined tyres, might have to reduce you turning circle too

i thught that would be the case just need to move it around and so on thanks for the info
-
Is that the case for 7.50 tyres?? I go tsome on wheels I wanted for the Disco but if they will fit on the 90 then my lad can have them
-
Robbie, yeah my boss' ex-mod 90 in my gallery has them fitted as standard, with no modifications.
-
Thanks for that, it gives about 1 1/2" lift on the axle then without any major mod. I guess it will affect the running speed though and acceleration a little. Mind you, ont he 2.5N/A it probably wont be noticed.....
-
Just checked the images. I guess it is the silver one ? and has it had a lift or just the 7.50 tyres?
-
750's got straight on a 90 with no lift required, they are actually standard fitment on some models
-
Robbie, No its the ex-mod with the 7.50 tyres, the silver has 235/85 machos and a 2"lift. There is not much difference in height between both types of tyres.
-
Robbie, IN MY GALLERY, the tyre on the bonnet of the ex-mod 90 is a 7.50, that will give you a rough comparison "without shadows" to the 235's on my 90.
-
Cheers mate,
I reckon we are gonna get them on this weekend and see what we think :)

I thought they would catch the exhaust where it goes through the rear wheel arch. I know whan I put 35" on my 110, I compared it to DavidLanies at some do or another quite a while back, and we decided his exhaust would be aproblem if he went the same way. Could have been Sibertofts, which was middle of last year.
-
hello!
I have put 35" simex on mine and left my exhaust where it is - its very close to the tyre and does hit it (it used to hit slightly with 33"s on) - keep meaning to move it to exit from the rear quarter panel.
I spose i will have to do something when it gets ripped off!
-
Dave That's my sort of thinking, compare the wheel space, measure up, consider the problems, then do it anyway
-
I got 35" BFG on mine with a 2" lift, got a slight rub on the back end so a slight increase will be needed, you'll get alot of rubbing on a standard motor.
-
looks like its only going to be that way for a week till i get the lift kit was thinking do thay do a 4" lift is so were do i get them thanks jason
-
I've got to add another 2" of lift to get the clearence. So 4" should do it :)
-
turtle do you know if thay do a 4" lift kit i know you can get the 3" but just need a little more with 36" on thanks jason
-
I've not seen anyone doing 4" lift kits (now to be proven wrong) Seen 2" and 3" kits.
I've already got a 2" lift on the motor, was just going to add spacers under the springs and then fit -2" Front Turrets and rear shocks mounts and extended bump stops.
-
Hi Guys
Why are you looking to put 3 or 4" lifts on for 35" or 36" Simex's? If it's out of choice that's ok, but if it was for clearance it's not needed.
I ran a 1.5" lift on mine and it was no problem. The last 20% of the wheel arch spats were trimmed but that's all. I ran on mach 5's with greater off-set to keep steering ok.
Personally I don't see the point in raising suspension any higher than you need too, and even for UK challenge events this amount of lift is good.
Cheers
Steve
