Title: Rear Crossmember Replacement
Post by: petergalileo on February 17, 2006, 13:10:53
How difficult is is to change the rear body crossmember ? I recently reversed into a bollard and after dusting off a load of rust not only does the rear body panel need replacing but the crossmember is suffering from metal worm badly.

Thanks

i did mine and the floor in a day

not a difficult job really, well spose that depends on how handy you are.

i did it with the tank in place, but you need to be careful when drilling, grinding and welding.

I also opted to rivet and glue the floor into place.

by your self a spot weld remover, makes the job much easier.
