Hi, does anybody know what the ratio is on a standard diff on a 1976 RangeRover , there are some 2.83.1 diffs for sale, also would this help on top end :?: ,
Thanks in advance
John.

the ratio is 3.54. With such a increase in ratio i would think the rangie would be a bit too overgeared. and would struggle to pull away and much more so on hill starts.

Forgot to say, my truck has got a 3.9 Perkins fitted & a high ratio with over drive lt95box to be fitted, don't know if this makes any difference :?: ,
Thanks John.
