Title: Front indicators TD5 and 300TDi
Post by: petergalileo on February 18, 2006, 19:49:39
Guys, is there a difference between the front indicators fitted to a TD5 and those fitted to a 300 series ? I notice the panel under the headlights and indicator on a 300 is wider at one end while on the TD5 its the same width all the way along.  So are the TD5 indicators larger ?

Also, does anyone have the part number for the TD5 front indicators ?

Thanks Guys

The TD5 ones are longer in height.
Personnally i dont know if they could be fitted to a 300 but, with all the right parts, i cant see why not.

Well I am actually going to try and fit them all to a 200 series.  I was just a bit puzzled by the bottom panel.

You will have to cut the wings at the top where the indicators will sit..as you see the td5 is square compared to the 200 or the 300 tdi

If your going to start cutting wings then you might as well fit these

Take it from me, I would but they cost a small fortune, even on eblag they are like £200+

thanks for the info on the indicators though, will look forward to cutting my wing up.

I actually bought a set of Discovery 3 lights with a view to fitting those but good god, they are absolutely gigantic ! After careful thought I decided against it.  It is possible but having to remove the headlight mounting box, moving the battery 2 inches back, moving the headlamp rear box back and dropping the bumper 2 inches is a bit beyond my available free time.

Yes I know, I am of course (http://www.seagullparts.co.uk/chat/images/smilies/ubbloco.gif) but who wants a standard landrover ?
