Bridgestone Dueler M/T doesn't hum on the 90.  They ain't as good as other M/T's like Colway / BFG in the Mud though either.

BFG's  find em' quiet on road and pretty good off road.

Before that we had Grizzly's, great off road but should come with ear defenders.

I'd agree that the Amazons don't seem to hum - have you looked at the chunky Pirelli tyres? A friend had some and they are very good on and off road. Not cheap but very nice tyres and very polite on road, no noise as I recall.

Amazons were ok on mine, not much noise at all, if you want noise though try Blackstar Guyanes, can here the hybrid coming from miles away

they discount them if you buy a full set too, I only got them because they had sold out of Grizzlys, but I dont think I would swap now.

ive got greenway machos on mine (same as amazons)they are good in mud,not too noisy on the road but if you are gonna use em on the road a lot they dont wear too well, but at £50 a tyre you get what you pay for !!!!

I've had the Machos in the past, they do hum, all tyres hum.  That said it's not too bad and there are other things to listen to anyway.  they are also good off-road, easily a match for BFG most of the time.  They wear quickly though and being remoulds you have no guarantee that you are getting 4 tyres that work the same as each other on the road.  I'm running BFG MT now (or AT when not laning) and they don't make as much noise, they are good up to the speed limit (I don't exceed that you know  ) and I don't get that funny rumbling through the floor as I'm rolling to a halt that I got with the Machos.  You pays your money........

i probably do 10k per year at the most so if the amazons last a couple of years ish im happy
knowing me if i get bfgs something will go wrong and ill rip the side wall or
get a puncture in the side wall where it cant be repaired
just my luck !

nice to see you got the rangie dirty at last lol

I've had general grabber AT2's on for a few months now, very low noise and supurb grip.  Cost is a lot lower than BFG's as I paid £399 for 5 fitted

Colways are noisy on my old mans disco, everyone stops and looks to see what the noise is when we drive past people on the path, good off road though.

they are the same on the lads 90.... but thankfully he drives it and not me  8)

I have Colway AT's on the Disco and they seem fine, or do I have the radio too loud ;)

We are considering Amazons for the 90 in the next few weeks. I have seen Amazon and Grizzlies in use on the same lane this last weekend and the Grizzlies got stuck where the Amazon booted RR didnt.... not as conclusive as  I would like to be but it did make me reconsider :)

Robbie, the Amazons/Machos are a very good tyre, off road.  Going to a BFG from the Amazon, I can't tell where the money goes, they aren't any better.

On-road, a different matter.

As for the Grizzlies, the mud needs to be really deep to get the best from them
