Post by: vtrdaz on February 21, 2006, 09:28:46
What size rims do i need for a TD5 90 for some 235/85 r16 tyres?
I'm in the market for a cheap set but i'm not sure what size i should be looking for.

Cheers in advance

7 inches wide...

Though for 235x86x16 the minimum width rim is 6.5 inches AFIAK (as per wolf rims and deep dish Land Rover steel wheels)

As porny says its the width.

Standard 90 alloys like the boost alloys fitted with 235/85/16's are 7 inches wide (known as 7J - dfont know why tho!) and they are also good for tyres such as the 265/75/16's which are also commonly fitted.
