Title: 'you had to be there moment'
Post by: Bob696 on February 21, 2006, 17:36:15
Didnt want to highjack another thread but the 'followed me home' thread reminded me of a case where a driver mistook me for something I wasnt.

I was coming down the M6 on my 550 chop and decided to pull into a services. As was my habit at the time, my pony tail was platted so as to avoid it getting all knotted in the wind and of course it hung down below my full face helmet.

As I pulled up I heard "Nice bike love" from the car next to me where were sat 2 boy racer types eating a burger. The looks on their faces as I removed my helmet and said "thank you dear" was most comical. They didnt stop to finish their burgers and roared off.

you had to be there moment I think

I was there,  and the look on those guys faces was unreal!

Nearly as good as the two blokes in the works van in Wolverhampton - same sort of scenario, except we were in traffic, so Bob couldn't take his helmet off but leaned down to look into the drivers side window which was open...

The driver 'clicked' but the passenger carried on - getting cruder and cruder shouting stuff about having a 'big vibrating machine between your legs' and 'being willing to oblige' (her) if she needed a 'real' man and so on.  The driver punched him on the leg, he still carried on, till the driver got so worried he punched the passenger in the b*****ks just to shut him up.

Obviously less scared of his passenger than the big hairy biker breathing down his neck......

Oh and yep, as a female biker I had to put up with that sort of crap fairly often. :x
