Well, after some discussion amongst the admin about the best way the club could lend it's support to the event I'm happy to announce the following..
Mud-Club, with support from Devon 4x4 will be donating a bag full of recovery gear and a couple of other goodies to the charity auction.
This is Mud-Club as a club, so I'd like to thank everyone who has donated money, bought stickers, or done otherwise for their continued support, it's through you that mud-club operates, and can give back to worthwhile charities.
Since I know there are a *lot* of mud-club teams, I would like to wish you all the best of luck.. let's see if we can get 1st, 2nd and third this year :D

you must have atleast 3 pajeros on here then to get 1st 2nd and 3rd   ill go easy on you landy boys unless i get a puncture from some of the excess parts you guys will drop in my path

I seem to recall that amongst the winning vehicles last year was a Discovery II pilotted by our very own Hightower...
And don't try and kid me who won the spirit of the event award either, I know what they were driving too :)
-
i've just had an email from the local newspaper who are hopefully doing an article on the Mac to help me get some sponsorship, so fingers crossed :) ...

Neil ....................put me down for another £20 ............

Aye good luck to one and all.
What we must not lose sight of is the winners at the end of the day (weekend)
MacMillan....yip, 1st 2nd 3rd etc.
It aint a race and I think that the most important 'prizes are the sprit of the event and the most funds raised.
and I guess helping the odd landie oot.
(and geting towed of a wee grass slope)
Gonna be a good weekend again

Well,
By all accounts it was another cracking event.
We went up to see them all off at the start, and sent them into the unknown :-)
The weather was against them for much of the weekend, with reports of some teams having to tow a snowplough out !
They spent a say over in Ireland and a day in Wales, and returned to the finish line for a well deserved night. (They are most likely all in the bar now !)
We've also just had word that following on from their success of last year, that Mud-Club member 'Hightower' won the overall event again !!!
So, massive "well done" to Simon and Mike... I'm sure the teams will give us plenty of feedback when they return !
