well just started a new project.
vitara verdi with a live front axle.

Before the rear suspention lift.

New springs, shocks and spacers on.

Rear lifted 2.5 inches.

Next job to rip all the ifs off the front.

hey suz fcould you give me some details on this live axle conversion that everyone is doing with a sammi axle. How do you do it? Is it road legal? I've been out the circuit for a while so could so fill me in.

well i'm doing leaf front with a sammy axle.

yup its road legal, will need to inform your insurance company.

Well there is no turning back now.
Have cut the engine crossmember out as i need the room for the axle to move.

Will be replacing it with a new one further back.

i have a SJ413 which im doing some work to, i have my 3inch longer shackles to fit alone with some 31x10.50 R15 tyres, im looking at getting the spring over axle conversion with 2inch blocks under to push it up some more then maybe see how high it is then, then i might do a 2" sus lift its going to be huge :D

Well it had its first off road run on sunday.

survived without any major probs.

just got some tweeking to do now. phew
