Just thrown back the curtains, and with not yet having put my contact lenses in, the world is a bit blurry, Imagine my surprise to find that at first glance the window had been whitewashed. Yup its snowed and laid here too.

Now if it could just carry on and get a bit more substantial, i could do with shooting some proper wintry landscapes this weekend.

Woke up to a reasonable dusting here in Warks- but sadly is melting already. Needs a top-up!

We've had a dusting of what appears to be icing-suger, not the proper stuff.
Still there's hope yet. Just phoned the wife in London, she says it's cold, but bone-dry down there (about 2miles from Kings Cross)

This was the scene a few miles from me on the 24th February last year (http://community.webshots.com/photo/79656053/1281503484047309372bMfSOa) (5 images)

I could nip up later & see if it's the same again :D

You do realise parking like that could be classed as Illigal BTM?

Perhaps so, but the pavements are almost as wide as the street, to park in the carriageway would block access.
Almost all vehicles down the street park in that manner, bar a few where it widens for a short distance.

Snow on the higher ground over the M62 again this morning - nothing serious yet though . . . . mores the pity. Some strong winds as well last night lifted a slate off my roof

Be loads of mud out there though over the weekend, the wet has been enough to saturate that top couple of inch again - must get out for a look around . . . . . after I've fixed my slate

I've been 'out & about' (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?p=192047) in some of it.

Once more I don't know whether or not to be surprised by the problems caused by an inch of snow

I travelled down to south wales yesterday after work (had to deliver a new car to my dad in swansea) Anyway in mid wales there was some lovely snow on the hill side .......I go down on the A483 very scenic and a lovely drive...........so about 80 miles from Swansea there is a whole 8 feet of road that has actually got snow on (only about an inch maybe two) and what happens??? Some fool in an escort not taking notice of driving conditions ends up going under a barbed wire fence straight into a field!!! Should have stopped and taken pics but ah well

I would love to see snow that deep one day in your link to the 5 images.

We had a dusting of snow when I went into work on Friday. Quiet randomly there was none on the roads or pavements except for on half of the pavement either side of the road on the railway bridge! Must be the cold air blowing underneath the bridge cooling the tarmac down or something. When I was doing my round we had some icing sugar falling for about an hour then the sun came out and melted it ASAP.
