HA HA HA you dont like snow do ya matey......... I LOVE IT......
I Want loads and loads. I want it to stop the traffic on the roads and cause total mayhem. Then ppl will be glad for 4X4s
-
Best sort me front diff asap then
-
Yeh then you can make them pay ya to drag em out......lol
-
bring it on..... 8) SNOW!!
-
i presume you have snow chains then?
cos other than that getting grip with a disco in the snow is less fun than a normal car cos its a lot heavier thing to stop!
you want to conquer snow?
buy a fastrac or a unimog!
-
Yeh then you can make them pay ya to drag em out......lol
YEP, one year my mate went up the moors and made £250 in two days 'assisting' the muppets up there!! 8)
Bring it on I say!
Just checked met office, should be starting down here thursday!! Just in time for the weekend again!! :D
-
those your mate pulled out
were they on their way to somewhere or were they noseying about the snow?
and were they prepped for getting stuck?
-
They were mainly just playing in the snow, and I doubt if they were prepared, I doubt most people are!!!
-
Funny stuff snow nowa days....If they see it then thats it ppl dont go out. I remember back in the 80 when it snowed properly ppl got about fairly well. Now they grit the roads like we going to be in for a good one and thats it a light covering and everything is come to a stop..... silly
I WISH FOR REAL SNOW AND PLENTY OF IT...

Personally speaking, I think that's a bit 'off'.
I'll ask if they require assistance & offer it freely to people like I did twice on Friday on Holme Moss in the snow.
If they keep insisting on offering money, I ask them to donate it to the NCDL, or at the very least do the 'good samaritan' act for someone they see needing help.
Of course, if they 'demand' help, that's another thing entirely & then offer recompense I'll take their money & put it in a charity box myself
-
No snow here yet...
-
yep my little bro/older smaller bro is turning into an old fart i think i might buy him a flat-cap for his birthday....lol
-
Only day in Calgary I didnt go to work was when the snow was deeper than the Delorean, and that was mainly cause I couldnt get the doors open, that and it was far too cold to be out and about with a hangover.
Calgary can take a foot of snow and it has no effect at all.
-
GETTING OLD....!!!!

Funny weather in North to Mid Wales.
Hardly more than a dusting to the North of Corwen, 3 inches at Bala, 5 inches at work and 8 inches six miles to the south of Bala at Llanuwchllyn.

Well we're still getting snow showers and expect to until Saturday night/Sunday. :D
Went down the to Harris Hills today, just for a drive, and went up a 3.5 mile track that leads up into the hills and finishes at an inland loch.
Car Parks on the side of the main road.

Climbing up the track into the hills with Loch Seaforth in the background.

These were about 2 1/2 foot long and were at the top of the climb!!

The top of the climb on the way back. The loch at the end of the track can be seen in the background.

The view on the way back down.

We were the first ones up the track since the snow started and it was hard to see where the track went in some places, even though the snow was only 3-4 inches deep, but all in all a good day. :D
-
We only got a dusting of snow Thursday night here Warks. The real treat was Friday mornings HOARE FROST. Thickest I've seen for years, very picturesque in the morning sunshine on the trees!

Yes. I took a pot shot with my camera through the mesh.
It came out ok

Nice pictures Budgie
Cheers, it's a nice place to take them as well.
-
It started for us with a few flakes at about 15:40 & got a bit heavier
Images attached were taken at about 16:30.
By 16:50 practically all management had disappeared  (best thing for them)
By 21:00, it was freezing hard & Ambulance crews were complaining that screens were freezing up whilst in motion
At least it ought to keep the drunks away for my collegues on nights, as they'll get cold & go straight home
-
Went up to moel famau on thursday evenning, about 5-6inches deep.
Fresh virgin snow took our kids and sledges and had great fun.
Just had a new flurry of snow so should be better.

I was wondering the same. Did the snow shrink everything.
-
Another 2-3 inches here today.
-
not a thing down south somerset i hope we do get a little
-
Barely enough to cover the ground, in fact last night when I looked out, the pavement on my side had none and the other side of the road had a sprinkle, my side has been in sun all day and the tarmac melted it, look funny though
-
It's snowed another 1 1/2 inches overnight.
It's getting to be boring now - I've got things to do.
-
All gone here now, just a bit in the permanant shadows behind walls etc...

we had a good sprinkle, but i`ve gone off it after my experience on friday night...
ended up going very sideways fast down a hill... with another following me!! underclangers are "beyond salvage"

For the first time in a week I can see some green patches showing through as the snow finally starts to melt.
Some of the mountain roads were treacherous today as they turned from rolled/compacted snow to slush.
It will be a distant memory in a day or two. I'm sure we'll be back to complaining that it does nothing but rain around here  .
-
bloody rain... i hate rain, it serves no purpose other than to depress people and water plants!!
