Hi guys, Ive just got a recall notice on Hilux surfs manufactured between 1993 and 1995.
I thought Id put a note on MudClub cos it'd be easy for a bloke with a 1993 car to miss/ignore the recall letter.
Apparently under duress the steering relay rod can break.
check with your toyota dealers if you have a UK/parallel 93-95 hilux surf

Do you have you any more detail on this recall (Toyota Recall Notice No. etc?). I 'm in the uk Hilux 'owners club' and have not seen this one before.

I've given my Surf plenty of 'duress' but haven't made the steering linkages break yet- and I wouldn't like it to happen!
Cheers.

Thanks for the info - I'll ask around and also re-post the info on the Surf Forum since it's a safety issue.
