Title: Roof racks
Post by: bambamjj on March 01, 2006, 21:02:56
Hi all

On the way home tonight i saw a disco on the M27 past Fareham with a roof rack on, it only covered the rear raised section no up lift just a flat bed as it were, but it fitted very neatly and close to the roof and looked good.

Any ideas what type it was or any recommendations? anyone?

I have sun roofs but cant use the rear one as the windy handly bit is snapped so it would not matter that much that it is close to roof.

Any ideas

jon

heh heh, put a bid on that earlier as it was only at £11.00, wasn't sure what it was, but now at £26, and i am not bidding anymore without seeing what type it is  :D

If it is the correct one, i suppose £50 with postage still wouldn't be bad ??

That's a standard Land Rover accessory although e-bay would be a bit cheaper!

Me too - I got a real LR one from e-bay.

Apparently, it's just right for hanging onto (http://members.mud-club.com/profiles/gords/gallery/Alps2005pt1/0/46255f599584693f6a3015b7906a98d5.JPG/) when the going gets tough :D

I have one of those too.  My mate gave it to me when he scrapped his 200tdi.  Haven't fitted it yet though...

Should be good for the kayaks.  I use the standard crossbars normally..  Had four boats up top before now.....

You can always fix his front wing for him while you're there - that way he won't be too upset to find the rack missing ... :?

The ebay one is bigger than the pictures, as on the table are 6x legs wheres those shown here have 4 legs  :)
