what a great day for the people of tenby the new tamar class of lifeboat has arrived in tenby :D

:D not bad as it all charity money think they should licence or tax private boats and yatchs (yes i do have a boat never needed help touch wood)and donate all the funds to RNLI its one i donate to along with guide dogs :D

Looks impressive, I should think 25 knots makes quite a difference if you're sinking in a storm. I remember Salcombe replaced their 8-knot Watson with a Tyne, so they could get the damn thing across the bar in bad conditions - kinda useful in a lifeboat! ISTR hearing they have a new boat on the way too - not sure if it's the same class.

I went to Poole and tested that class of boat! It was odd controlling it with two joysticks instead of a wheel! But the slanty front windows mean u get blinded in the sun, unless they've fixed that now!
They are nice boats! Cant wait till we get one!

padstow's due to get the next tamar i believe.
My mate in Borth is on a D class boat so i watch whats going on gonna have to have a trip down there
