Title: tyre sizes

i want to replace my a/t tyres with m/t tyres
on my 16 inch alloy wheels
what is the best size for me to fit ?
i dont want to alter the body work to fit them
the size at the moment is 235/70/16
looking to replace with bfg m/t or similar

Depends what you use it for.  IMHO the 235/70 is a good size for a Disco you only need go bigger if you are grounding it, for laning and stuff they should be fine.

i use it for every day things but dont drive it every day
i want to do lanning and playdays really
nothing to extreme
but want to get the right tyres first time round

I think 235/70 is the largest on a non-lifted vehicle,  I dont know what you get one on a 2" lifted vehicle, maybe someone else can fill that gap of the equation  :?:

You should be able to get 245/70 on with no trimming and 245/75 with some minor trimming to the lip of the rear wheel arch - both without a suspension lift.
