Title: I Have a problem
Post by: Big Rich on March 06, 2006, 09:51:04
 Not easy to admit

I have some spring spacers +1". The rear went on fine but the front fit fine but the damper wants to touch the bolt head that holds the spring plate on and the spacer. I also want to get heavy duty spring retainer in too.

To look at it the axal seems to have moved forward. Not sure what has happened but I am stuck with it now.

Have a disco with 3 springs lifted and one with no damper.

Anyone have any ideas?

All Help gratfully receved.

I would guess you have not fitted caster correcting radius arms and therefore the axle will be slightly tipped forward.
As for the bolts we had to cut part of the head off to stop the dampers touching on the one we did.

I've got 1" spacers on mine and didn't have any problems fitting them.

No I havn't got the caster correcting radius arms. Told to see how it handles without then if I need too I will add it to my shopping list

Now there is a thought. Cutt the bolts. The bolts that came with the spacers aer alot thiner than original ones. I am using same thikness but longer than original.
