while playing out on sunday :cry: my ignition key snapped in the barrel. so am using a screw driver to stop and start her but can't lock the doors. does anyone know how i find the key number to replace the key or is it a change full locks :-(
its a 79 rrc

be very careful...but . You could try putting a drop of superglue on the end of the key that you have and inserting it back into the lock. Hopefully it will set enough to withdraw the key. But there is the danger of sticking everything in the lock. If you get it out you can get another cut.

got hold of the previous owner lucky enoughj he has a spare key he said he didn't have so now it 's just get the key out time but f503 i like your plan will work on that

Have you tried a magnet stuck on the other half of the key :?:

managed to do it last night with a small pair of tweezers from my swiss army knife also got a spare key off of the prev owner who said he didn't have any when i bought it :x so all is allright in rr land :wink:

now get a spare cut been there done that smashed the ing barrel off :(bigoops):
