Title: Engine Number on 2.5 td

OK so where would i find it?? tried most places - all i have found is one cast into the head (near side towards the front, and another smaller number just in front)
according to the log book it starts 19j?????? cant see anything like that.
HELP please (and pix would be useful)

cheers , but wheres the item that the number is next too?
i presume thats the fuel pump??

Yes, that's the fuel pump, but the number may not be there. Missed the bit about early engines.

AHH!! where the bottom picture shows you all I have is a row of 5 dots.. so looks like mine is in the 1st position.
