... to be given a thorough going over, and told that I have no feeling in my left leg below the hip to ankle, and that I may have a prolapsed disk....resulting in a 3 week sick note and a VERY peed off me!!!
Any body want to offer em larger sums of money for the remains of a 90?? cos ssp aint going to get me very far!
-
gutted for you fella. really sorry to hear that :( whats the likely hood of recovery?
-
dont know, they are waiting for a slot to come empty so i can go in for a scan on the affected area.. so in 3 weeks may well have another note :( not good when there is only my ssp coming in , especially with mortgage and bills to pay :(:(:(:(:(
Oh well, lots worse than me i suppose...makes you wonder whats going on with the NHS tho, when the doctors only have limited resources..

I feel for you, but i have been on ssp for 5 months now.
Very poor and even more p*ss*d off.
Dont say that.. only been 18 months since i had 3 months on ssp after a heart scare!!
funny how genuine ppl have to scrimp and save to survive, yet there are the 'scrounger' culture yobs who seem to thrive - climing sickness driving new cars and permanatly in the pub.....Grrrrrrr

backs are always tricky things and shouldnt be risked. Hard but do what the docs say, worth it in the end.
I was at the docs today to get a blood test result (blood sugar cus I am a fat git). Inconclusive so I have to go for another, next time they can fit me in is 4th April
-
I have been off 27 weeks on SSP. I had a scan and first doctor could not even see my fusion so going for second oppinion.
Look after your back. They can fix most things but backs are scetchy.
I am still trying to get my rangie sorted. At least with belt and handfull of pills I can bear it enough to do something. Shame my work wont let me drive while on these pills. Mind you they are a bit spacey !
-
yeah the pills im on dont exactly help..plus im a hgv driver, so with no feeling in my leg gonna be a bit dodgy..especially with company insurance.
gonna have to grin and bear it,
so about this 90 i have.............................

really sorry to hear about your back, is your problem driving related then??
hope your back to work soon.

Bezza, speak to your mortgage people now, and try to arrange a token payment (don't miss them altogether).
I had to do this a couple of years ago, I was out of work for 4 months (not entitled to anything from the state because I told my bullying repulsive boss where to stick it) and Bob was still a student. Worse thing you can do is just skip payments.
Hope the back gets better sooner than later, sometimes I think they just try to play it safe and give you a less optimistic view to cover their own backsides.

me too ruptured Nuclilus between Disks when you pull it out the Ruptured Nuclius pees Liquid oner nerve ends
it tends to sort it self out as and when
Sick pay is crap in it....

Yeah def speak to mortgage people. I missed one last year and we had loads of hassle trying to remortgage.
Try feverfew. holand and barret. Great anti inflametory. I take it along with lodine from quack and it does help. I dont think anything short of getting knocked out will taker the pain away but it helps. :?
Put some pics of you landy up or in you prfile page. Might help if folks can see it before traveling ?
:D
