WOW! That's a mean looking beastie!
I wouldn't make a good owner (I don't think), but put me down as jealous
-
He is a [pussy cat] cat as long as you dont have Fur or wings on ya he is fine..
My house is like a Zoo we have :
Ferrits for working Rabbits etc
Ducks
Geese
Ducks
Chickens
Guinee fowl
Koi
Beared dragons
Tropical Fish
3 Dogs all working
Phew thats it ..I think
-
And I thought 2 cats was hard work!
You need to be selling up and buying a farm (prefereably with several acres of potential off-roadable land).
So when are you giving us a demo of your Falcon in action then? [-o<
-
Thats why i have them apart from i hink animals are better than Humans..
I am totally Country ways etc to the point of now teaching all the kids the ways of the Country and what to look for wildlife wise and they all have gone hunting with me but i dont force it if they do not want to go again..
I just feel allot of the old ways arr now lost and need to be taught more
I fly the Gyr each day and its hard work as well as a joy as you have to keep them fit they are like a long distance runner if you dont train them each day the get unfit and and do not pursue game so keenly
-
nice bird ;)
i have:
a milo (german shepard - lovely natured)
2 bugergies (noisy lil sods!)
4 assorted fish (quiet lil sods)
a Becci  (*comment deleted* )
Bex has:
a shadow (elderly dog of much/unknown origins)
my mum has:
12 hens of the red/brown egg laying variety, quite tame, follow you round the garden!
5 cats (cats everywhere!)
a Dave (milo`s younger brother)
a random dog
until recently had a phesant! friend works for the parks department, they`d ordered in and hatched a clutch of quail eggs, but one of the quails grew a lot bigger! ..and ate £300 work of butterfly larvae... so it needed re-homing! now gone to a farm
-
Beautiful creature. The falcon, not you
A friend has a couple of Harris Hawks and flies them on our fields in a vain attempt to control the rabbit population.... no chance  We also have a resident barn owl.. been there for a couple of years now. Had it land on the bull bar one evening.... fantastic  The LR even had the engine running at the time. I was stunned!
-

I don't, but he used to use them for rabbits in our fields. Trouble is they used to go after the squirels and they can do a lot of damage to the birds.

Are they oven ready??
Sorry :) Couldnt resist. :)
I go to a Place calle eagle Heights about twice a year, Near Gatwick airport. I love it there. Im also a country bloke. I go ferreting and shooting at least twice a week. I eat what i kill too. Not much of that goes on now.
Oh how i long to be in Hugh Fearnly-Whittingstalls shoes. :) :)
-
You must have concerns for bird flu. My father in-law just bought this huge shed thing for his pigeons and was looking forward to his pigeon fancying now he has retired only to have gloom in pigeon press about keeping the birds in for up to five years.
-
from what i can gather it is now spreading to animals so i think we also need to look further a field as well
I dont have any hang ups untill we hear for defo

Ask at the smallholding where you keep your calf. Either that or ask the owner if they know any farmers.
The local pub is also a good place to ask. :)
-
the bloke is a bit of a funny at times but my calf is kept at the farm at my school
-
You are always welcome on my shoot anytime you are this way mate i know what its like when bewtween shoots

In addition to Gay Max the confused Collie/Staffie and Djelibeybi the pusscat, I also have a Sparrow Hawk living in my back hedge (and a diminishing population of Sparrows!! )
