Title: Problem with rear axle

Can any1 help me, i hav just started to change the rear brake pads on my disco 200tdi and noticed that there is a lot of play on the hub and am getin a clunk when driving around corners, is this the bearing or something worst?

Post by: disco si on March 11, 2006, 12:55:29: it could be your bearings if you take your brake pads off is there any play in your hub if so its your bearings. LRC it :twisted:

Don't buy the really cheap ones though, go for branded ones like Timken or SKF.

Post by: j99mud on March 12, 2006, 09:37:01: Don't talk to me about wheel bearings, having had all 4 go in the space of about 6 months it can become very expensive, esspecially as one of the front ones did a fine job of wrecking most of the rest of the hub at the same time :cry:

i have found this guy very good
i needed a new hub with my bearing aswell
cost Ã‚Â£50 the lot delivered
