easy bodge fix for those, re cut the thread if its not good, I think its an m6 down to about the last few inches where mine went to a different size
You can do this two ways depening on if the shaft does taper. If ti doesnt' taper, spin a nut onto the thread, a big washer, place back in place, then another washer and a nut done up tight to hold in place.
If it does taper put a small tube or a pack of washers on the outside, one washer on the inside and do up as before.
Adjustment should be obvious.

ok ill try that 2 morrow it might be a temp fix if i can find a couple of nuts
-
it was a temp fix for me that lasted 11 months :-) then the reflectors went so I bought new ones in the end!
-
you sound like a willy bodgit just like me.....well we both run discos!!!!
-
some things have to be fixed before they get worse - other things like headlights can have a perefctly good "alternative repair" :)
Matt
-
but he (matt) doesnt run a disco anymore do you  :(
-
You get them to grip the thread again by gently forcing some of the plastic back into the threaded area with a soldering iron tip.
