Title: Steering Damper
Post by: Damonski on March 11, 2006, 20:24:24
Just a quick one really,  how easy are they to change?  I suspect its contributing to some of my wheel wobble when on road going over bumps. It doesnt look healthy when I poke my head under the front end.

easy peasy, lemon squeeze

if yum doing it, might you not consider relocating it out of the way!

I've fitted a Defender one to mine, TBH it's not the best advance in roadholding though, I get a flutter on the driver's side wheel on corners, partticularly to the right.

It could also be your swivle preload, a bit harder to check.  The worst thing about swapping the damper is if the nuts are rusted on, given how most LR products leak oil that's not too likely.
