I noticed tonight that there is a horrible sound coming from my rear axle.
It sounds like metel teeth cracking together? (i.e diff gears or shafts)
Any ideas?
(I have'nt checked the diff oil level yet)
Obvously the car is now parked up till tomorrow when i'll have some more EP90.
Could the half shafts be at fault?
How do i check?
please help!!
:(

Might be something as simple as a wheel bearing breaking up or a UJ letting go.
Only way to tell is to get the wheels jacked up and turn things... see if you can isolate where the noise is actually coming from.

hmm, could be little lumps of metal in the bottom of the diff knocking around

I've been outside and lifted the rear on to axle stands.
I rotated the ns wheel and all sounds fine.
When i rotated the os wheel there was a horrible grinding sound.
Looks like you guys were right.
Dam wheel bearing!!
Its a good job i have a complete spare wheel bearing kit here and ready to be fitted on Saturday morning.
Well done guys.
