I had a rumbling/vibration coming up through the floor soon as i hit 40mph, was fine over and under 40mph though. Also had a squeek when i turned slowly, turned out the bearing race was worn. Just had it replaced this am.

Easy to check if it;s the bearing, better than leaving it to chance as it can become quite costly if left.

It could be the lack of brake pad material ??
Check your wheel bearings first.
Jack up the car on the side affected and put an axle stand under the axle.
Grab the outside of the tyre at 12 and 6 o'clock and rock the wheel in and out.
Any play??
If yes get somebody to press th brake pedal and repeat the exercise.
Play??
No it's wheel bearing.
Yes it's swivel pins.
Now if no in the first instance you've got no brake pads left or a stone in the calliper.
