What are the stongest UJ for the propshafts on a disco everywhere seems to just sell the rtc3291 cheep but are there some strong ones out there with out changing the prop its self.

get a gkn prop
cost a bomb but wont break :)
unless you like hi revving and dump clutch to see if you can wheel spin i dont know how you need to go through uj's that often
i had mine for 4 yrs and not one failed

Don't think the 2/3"lift helps mate.
-
think twice before getting those cheappy ones ie 3 for £15 - a decent GKN one will cost you nearly that for 1
-
£18 plus vat I have just paid for Hardy Spicer GKN UJ (Part Ref Number HS160 For my 200TDI Disco)
It may pay to shop around at your local motor factors

the best UJ for the props is TVG000010G (i think) which is the heavy duty 1 & retails about 15 ea
-
mine was lifted for 2yrs and nothing doing
its only when you get body lift too and dont grease them often enough you will get problems
-
Thank chaps i will have a search on the net for those.

Body lift doesn't have any effect on the UJs. Everything is connected to the chassis and that's when the angles change.

Dave, i bought the heavy duty prop uj from AMD, think it was £15.The part no.TVC100010G. It is also listed for the EFI to cope with the extra torque. Got one here if you want as mine has got an imperial prop on the front so it doesn't fit
hope this helps
Neil :)
