Title: British Institution
Post by: Bush Tucker Man on March 21, 2006, 21:46:46
In a village close to where we live is this memento of the past

One occupant of the picture is considered to be an archaic relic, that forces its occupants into the role of social pariah who are reviled in the press

The other is a set of Stocks

Grade 2 listing apparantly, so we can't use them, in case they get damaged

Bring 'em back into use I say!, town centre humiliation for the louts & vandals.
Am I right?

Aye! Bring back the stocks. And the birch, the cane in schools, hanging, Oh! and if it's not too much to ask, how about some policemen,  other than traffic cops.?
