Is it correct that under the new MOT law that four wheel drive cars cannot be checked for emissions? because most MOT stations haven’t got a rolling road now that they are tested differently with the car running with the wheels turning to get a more accurate reading ( I have been told this by some one who works at a garage but not sure if he is right) does any body have more info. :?
-
No it not right, Emmissions are checked without the car moving.
-
Not heard of the rolling road being used for MOT emissions yet.

Sorry wrong end of stick I will revise my statement (I got it wrong it has to do with the computer system 4x4 Q reg and any other cars or vehicles that the computer do not like are exempt a or cannot date relate) perhaps this might be a little bit more accurate. We live in hope?

Can anybody completely confirm or shoot this one down in flames because he is adamant that he is correct and starting to wind me up.

I think he is trying to wind you up mate,he speaketh a load of old rubbish.

The 4x4 bit is irrelevant - test is the same for all vehicles, varies dependant on age
