I'd love to drive a Cuthburtson.  Since I first saw a picture of one I have thought "I'll do that one day" - Looks awesome!

i think, that conversion doesnt actually need much work doing to the landy.
iirc it just bolts on
the steerings gonna be heavy tho!

Essentially it does just bolt on, but you've got to be able to lift the vehicle enough to get the sub-frame assemblies underneath.
There's a front PTO powered hydraulic pump(& ram) to offer assistance to the steering.

One simple problem that caused the demise of the 'kit' was the difficulties in acquiring 19" motorcycle sidecar  tyres for the idler wheels.

There is one at the BMIHT museum at Gaydon, not too sure what happened to the one at Beverley (Museum Of Army Transport) after it closed
Lix-Toll garage in Scotland have a fully working version (it features in the 'Land Rovers Across The UK DVD)

Peter Blanchard (http://www.pablanchard.co.uk/) (the ex-military surplus dealer east of York has/had 2 Centaurs in his yard.

In fact looking at the site, he has (or at time of updating) had a Centaur for sale (road registered!!) at Offers Over £15,000
