Title: Scary moment

A very scary moment the other day sunday actually :D .

Steering decdied to stop working.What happend was the top bearing at the top of the steering coloum had failed leaving fragments of metal jamming against the steering colum.leaving me with no steering.Well only the way i was going.I now have to try to remove the rest of the bearing out of the top now any ideas guy's?

hehe HAMMER  :lol:  try a hammer and a drift (piece of bar the right size) and tap the fragments out, or get a dyson  :lol:

The HBOL mentions it, but only when the entire column's out. Hopefully you can replace the bearing without taking the whole column off - my steering wheel wobble was explained when I was changing my indicator switch the other day and a load of ball bearings fell out  :shock:  :shock:

Well we have tried the hammer job for about an hour.So tommorow my dad (jonno)is going to try again using a a bigger hammer :D
