Try and see if you can change the world by finding out if you have what it takes to makes the decisions required to meet UK electricity demands by 2020.
Fun stuff  I did my bit and saved the world, no fossil fuels, no nuclear power, generate all our own electric, reduce demand and we'd only need an extra 9255 wind turbines to supply the UK's needs  Now where shall we put them ?
Who said green was easy ?
-
what was your projected cost per household?
i got mine to 380
-
Build 26 new reactors, 4655 wind turbines, get 40m KWts from fossle fuel stations, and insulate 14m homes and it's down to £326.
-
You've got it all wrong, I saved the planet and cost us a fortune in the process £593.00 !!!!
-
9255 turbines, stick 'em out in the sea. piece of [throw it]

I'm one of them idiots who think they look cool 8) , stick em in my backyard.
-
i built 45 new reactors lol ... just so everyone would have a healthy glow
-
Got costs down to £275, imported 80bn kilowatt hours, 200bn kilowatt hours of renewable and 120bn kilowatt hours of fossil fuels, gave all the electricity needed, met all targets and saved a fortune!!! lol
-
i couldnt be bothered clicking the link.. thus saving enough energy to open up another window and look for "ex girfriend" on photobucket - awsome!
-
CARBON EMISSIONS
0 tonnes
Carbon emissions are within target.
ELECTRICITY GENERATED
320bn kiloWatt hours
You've met UK electricity demand.
COST PER HOUSEHOLD
£368 average annual bill
Your electricity costs more than it does now.
You'll be building 0 new fossil fuel power stations, 36 new nuclear reactors and 0 new wind turbines, insulating 14m houses and buying 0% of electricity from overseas.
Nuclear power! :D

Gotta agree with borders, i think wind turbines are the way to go, and i think they look pretty cool too 8)
betta than a dirty great chimney belching black smoke all over the place. :?

That's OK if they're not planning to put 250 of the largest turbines available on YOUR island and effectively covering the centre of the island and turing it into europes largest windfarm!!
I know, I'm a NIMBY but hay, there's the whole North Atlantic to put them in!! :D

yeah but whos gonna swim out whith the extension lead?? ;);)

nucleur is the way to go!
couldnt be bothered to do link
if you had 4000 odd wind turbines the how bloody country would hum all the time, thta could be really annoying
at least bird flu wouldnt get here, would be cut to shreads by them before they got close lol

And what happens when the wind stops?
Not much!!

We all get government issued cans of beans

Piece o P:shock:s
You'll be building 0 new fossil fuel power stations, 21 new nuclear reactors and 9,255 new wind turbines plus other renewable installations, insulating 14m houses and buying 0% of electricity from overseas.
Sorted - cut out the scummers from overseas with their "blocked pipelines", get rid of "North Sea Oil/Gas" which is ridiculously expensive compared to other areas, and building 9K+ renewable energy sources and a bunch of nuke power stations. Stick that in your Kyoto agreement and smoke it.

Just stick one of these on every new build house,
http://www.outdoorgb.com/p/d400_wind_turbines/
And one of these
http://www.outdoorgb.com/p/sharp_mono_polycrystalline_solar_panel/
Makes every new house require less power from other sources. Costs would be cheaper, as companies would be bulk buying.
Every little helps.

Photo Bucket (http://photobucket.com/) is an online photo storage site where you can upload your photos and then link them to places like this!

  Thats what my leccy bill was last year
But then I have got white meter heating so there's no gas bill.
