any thing that will actually stop it rusting like galvanising other than hanging large blocks of zinc on the sides

reguarly waxoil....kills rust and prevents new rust forming.....does exactly what it sais on the tin :lol:

Go the whole hog, remove components and send them to a company that does sand blasting and powder coating. I've just got back the chassis for my other car and it looks pritty darn nice :D  8) .


The key to any surface protection is preperation, which typically starts with a lot of sanding (assuming the component doesn't have an inch of mud on it which will need to come off first), and then thorugly cleaning to remove any traces of moisture, dirt, dust or grease/oil.

The best paint is POR15 but it needs over coating with another paint if subject to sunlight.

im welding the holes up in the body the chassis is sound exept a large hole rount a fuel tank bolt holes but thats eisily repaired i cant realy galvanise the body but i shall try that paint :P
