Can anyone please advise a source of weight rated shackles for strops and ropes etc in Shropshire?
-
I got mine from the local farm/tractor supplies outlet, cheap but strong enough to tackle industrial/farm type of work, so no problems with the weight of a landy etc.
-
Go on confess who....
-
Thorburns ltd, you must have some similar outlet in your area. The other option would be mail order from paddocks or craddocks.
-
I went to my local chandlery the other day to get some stainless screws. The shackles were £3.25 for a biggun!
-
D44 sell rated shackles from around £1.50 for a 2T to around a fiver for a 6T one ...
not that it answers the question much, since they're not in shropshire, but thought it might be usefull for comparison

This is great... from having to get them mail order from a company in Devon I now have local choices :D
-
Just think of the industrial heritage of Shropshire and the Black Country. There's got to be someone still in that area making all sorts of cool things you didn't know you needed.
