Title: rear diff pinion seal

can somebody please help my friend has got a 300tdi disco and the above has started leaking but  its obvouisly different from my 200tdi because its got the rubber coupling on so can it be done or is it a special tool job.   joe

The actual operation is pretty much the same.  No super-special tools needed.

except a section of exhaust pipe with a washer over the end & a suitable bolt to get the centre spigot out  :wink:

Hi.

The centre spigot can become seized in. If you have heat available you might need it, if not don't immobilise the vehicle as you may need help from your local garage!
