Hi guys :D
This is my first post in the Defender forum as I've been hanging around in the Discovery one for a while :wink:
I'm moving home next weekend and for the first time in my life I'm going to have my very own garage! I'm sure you know what's coming next...
(shouts) NEW PROJECT!
SWMBO has relented and given me permission to build an oily brute on the premises. Sweet.
Sorted out with Bobtail to pick up his 90 (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=19097) so I'm now looking ahead in preparation.
My question is: Should I replace the Daihatsu engine with:
A) Another Daihatsu
B) Land Rover 2.5TD
C) Sell an kidney and get a 200TDi
Does anyone on here have any experience of the Daihatsu in a 90 as I've seen a few going cheap on Ebay? Is it a huge job to swap to a TD or TDi?

200TDI i have done transplant to 90 not so hard to do

defender 200 piece o piddle from a TD
disco 200 slightly harder,depends if u have access to cutting & welding gear to save you some ££ otherwise u need to buy the downpipe
