good or bad idea, anybody don it, any diffrence performance wise !!!!!!!!!!!
-
The 300tdi I have now has a straight through exhaust, no silencer or cat.
Sounds nice too. 8)
-
if you buy the early 300 front pipe it comes with a flexi but no cat or a 300 front pipe for the defenders also fits bit has no flexy or cat
-
I thought the cat was needed for an MOT ?
-
No not needed for MOT.
-
just got the back box on mine thanks to dave 333. And it sounds great
-
but will it go any better ?
-
You know that your'll have to remove the Dog aswell...
-
not came across the early front pipe for the discovery will have a look in the exhaust books at work tomorrow, the cheaper option is to cut the flexi out and replace it with a new one (its knackered)and straight pipe to the rear box section ,hope its noisy enough
-
you can buy just the flex to weld in
-
Well all i can say is mine sounds nice and took it for a drive around before and it dos pull better. Its going for its mot tomorrow so i will know then if its ok fingers crossed
-
so does the cat act as a silencer as well then?

-
Yea thanks for that dave very much appreciated for doing my car today. Just found out that the prop stafts have greese nipples on them so they took a full tube of greese me thinks they have never been greesed before. and the car even had a boyracer turn and look at it as i drove passed  so it must sound nice at revs

Your very welcome mate, did sound nice as you drove off think i might have to get a back box and get rid of the middle box
