thinking of takin the cat and centre section out of my 300 tdi
good or bad idea, anybody don  it, any diffrence performance wise !!!!!!!!!!!

The 300tdi I have now has a straight through exhaust, no silencer or cat.

Sounds nice too. 8)

if you buy the early 300 front pipe it comes with a flexi but no cat or a 300 front pipe for the defenders also fits bit has no flexy or cat

not came across the early front pipe for the discovery will have a look in the exhaust books at work tomorrow,the cheaper option is to cut the flexi out and replace it with a new one (its knackered)and straight pipe to the rear box section ,hope its noisy enough :twisted:

Well all i can say is mine sounds nice and took it for a drive around before and it dos pull better. Its going for its mot tomorrow so i will know then if its ok fingers crossed

cant do that ive got huskeys and i need them to pull the landrover when it breaks down.

i bought a 2 meter lentgh of flex pipe this mornig £26.75 from ces. Dont think the cat dos a lot for the noise just diesels are not that noisy out the exhausrt. just have a nice low tone :D

Yea thanks for that dave very much appreciated for doing my car today. Just found out that the prop stafts have greese nipples on them so they took a full tube of greese me thinks they have never been greesed before. and the car even had a boyracer turn and look at it as i drove passed :lol: so it must sound nice at revs :lol:

cant wait to hear what it sound like just got to fit a new clutch tomorrow night oh joy hope it not the gearbox....what a way to spend sat night :D  :D thanks for all the input...

well the exhaust passed the mot with just the back box on. but failed on some other points.

cheers for that but got the exhaust off at the moment doin the clutch so i will just make one up thanks again
