Has anybody got contact details for the main man at Land Rover??
-
I havent but i'll be watching this thread with curiosity
-
I can get but have to ask why, as my sources are quite 'involved;
-
Problems with a Dealer, and Land Rover Customer Services standard answer is "We are nothing to do with Dealers"
What I really want is to write a nice letter to him explaining the problems with Land Rover :D
-
I bet that will be as subtle as ever!LOL
-
All depends on who you consider as the Main Man.
Top of the Tree is Bill Ford CEO of Ford Motor company the owners of the Premier Automotive Group (PAG) which has Lincoln,Aston Martin, Volvo,Jaguar & Land Rover all in its stable.
Broken down to Main Man in the Ford Empire is then Lewis Booth is executive vice president for Ford Motor Company overseeing Ford of Europe and Premier Automotive Group.
He recently replaced Mark Fields who is Ford Executive Vice President and President of the Americas.
Whittling this down and getting to the shop floor bods, then Steve Coultate Land Rover's director of manufacturing and Chief Anti-Radio supremo.
maybe not the information you wanted, but the question was not clear enough to state which main man.

Thanks Blu Very Useful, so is the main man ad LR Steve Coultate, Would he deal with dealers and afersales service??
-
Drum,
I have been here multiple times. The dealers are franchises. THat is Fords, Land Rovers etc etc defence. When things go pear shaped they will distance themselves. I have reams of correspondance between myself and LR, and also Ford.
In the end they threatened to take me to court.....
-
Thanks Thrasher, however I feel I still have to right. Do you have details of who you wrote to??
-
Yep....but you'll eventually hit the same "It's a franchise, they are nothing to do with us" response.
The *BEST* bet is to find out who owns the Franchise, and then complain to THEIR headoffice :-) I got loads done that way.....(this was Land Rover). WRT Ford ... I had to fight both Ford and the franchise. It was 9 months of hell (and I can hear some of the people who remember it groaning already!)

The Main Number for Landrover goes to Customer Care = 08700 500 0500

Surely the main man for Land Rover would be the MD???
Regardless of the people above him at Ford???

In reality I doubt Steve would be the person to write to, or would be that happy about his name being posted around on the internet.
Without seeming rude, there are quite a few people who are on this forum from Land Rover and PAG ... so you should be careful of what info you actually post.
- I'm not stating that this post is right or wrong (and I'm sorry for being off topic)... and the info stated is probably avaliable elsewhere in public domain... but just stating that some info should stay within the company, so as not to upset people. (this is only my opinion, so feel free to disagree)
Drum, as Thraser already suggested, the first port of call should be a strongly worded letter to the dealer principle... and go from there.

Yes I see where you are coming from but as Neil ( Thrasher) quite correctly points out you are dealing with frnchises which effectively are independant business and thus making the complaint system harder.
Good luck in your plight and keep fighting.

Type any of the those names into the Google search bar and they will throw up much much more information;as you say, they are already in the public domain.
As an Administrator of my own forum,I am only to aware of what is or is not permissable.
In this instance the topic was to ask for the contact details of the main man at Land Rover, therefore there was nothing to suggest anything defamatory or libellious.
The Main Man at LR is an emissary with Ford,I.E. Lewis Booth, all of those below his staure are nothing more than conduits.
He is conducive to the future of investment at Solihull and he oversees each milestone that is too be acheived with the Roadmap implementation.
I thank you for your concern in relation to what I post, but there is nothing to worry about, all of it is fact.

Wow that's differant then, when we had problems with a Rover 600 and the dealer basically shrugged us off, one call to Rover CS and we got switched dealers and a courtesy car off Rover them selves (75 V6 :D ), Not the dealer.
Surley if I dealers playing stupidly then it reflects on the company as a whole, and so the company should try to fix it
