Title: Lift
Post by: beggers on April 16, 2006, 10:46:00
Hi, can anyone help me and clear up my confusion about suspension and body lifts. Can I do both and which is is the cheapest? Also I'm thinking of fitting a new steering damper and wondered if it was ok to remove the big lump of metal off the rod. I believe the steering rod can be moved to the front of the axel using defender parts, can anyone help me? Is there anyone in the Preston area that knows about mods to Disco's especially if they could show me where and how much to trim off the rear arches.

Thanks

Andy

Right now where to start, you can do both lifts, cheapest is body lift hardest is body lift too.

changing springs and dampers can be done for around £200 plus,

Big lump of metal is the harmonic damper, bin it and fit a gas damper.

Wizardbilt do a kit to move the damper up front. http://www.wizardbilt.com/

Hope this helps.

hi, what about twin shox. What do you gain from fitting twin shox?

Cheers
