Title: hi-lift mounting kits
Post by: the loon on April 16, 2006, 16:49:47
Does any one have one of the 4xrac or similar hi-lift mounting kits  :?:

like

http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/SHOP_BY_BRAND/Hi_Lift_Jacks/Hi-Lift_4XRAC_Mounting_Kit.html

whats the width of the base on the brackets as thinking of buying one to go on the roofrack but need to know it will fit where I'm looking at mounting it

either that or a couple of bits of threaded bar and some ingenuity

I looked to get one of these for my Brownchirch roof rack on the freelander, but the spacing was far too great, cant remember the exact dimensions but it was well over 90 mm between the centres, more like 150 as i recall.

Give them a ring they went and measured it for me when i asked

Think they are for the 90/110's but the only problem with it on your roof rack is when going under trees and bushes etc you run the risk of it pulling your roof rack off........i had it happen to me   ........hence the reason why its on the back door.

The base is 65mm x 175mm if that helps you.  :D

I've got mine on the roofrack but mine's a Patriot Alloy one with nice wide runners and I don't get the problems with trees - we ain't got any up here!!

This topic may help (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=22284) for various mounting points on a Disco.

Mine's going on the rear door when I replace the rear bumper soon.  At present it's secured in the boot.  No roofrack option for me.
