Hi Need to get insurance for my other half.
She is buying a 90 Hard top 1989 2.5 diesel.
The problem is Nene overland is putting rear bench seats and windows in so the insurance went from £538 to a whoping £1100.
Anyone know who would be the best to get insurance off.
O by the way the quote was fron Adrian flux who have been very good and the cheapest for my modified Disco.

Adrian Flux are a bunch of t****** They canceled my insurance two and a half months after i had taken it out because i was under 21 :?: yet they knew i was under 21 on the day i got the quote :!:
Budget are good , Lancaster were ok when i had the landy with them untill i had the crash in the punto then the premium went up even though it was not my fault
-
i got a quote for a s3 with a 6 litre engine from 'sureterm' and it was £350.
didnt think that was bad.
-
I'll back up NFU everytime-just got my renewal through and rang up to check it out, cheaper than last year!
-
I went with Lancaster but I got the same quote off NFU ...£78.They didnt ask if it had rear seats or not
-
I always use this http://www.moneysupermarket.com/motor/ it helped me get lower insurance a while back so give that a go. \:D/
-
When i tried to get a quote from NFU they said my address was not rural enough to qualify for a quote, yet im surrounded by farms.......
When they did eventually quote they were nearly 4 times dearer than Adrian Flux...

NFU - You need some link to agriculture, we can get in as a relative runs a farm.
If you don't have any links then they can be a bit finneky - It seems to vary on which person you get!
-
Definatley greenlight, £360 fully comp on 3.5ltr v8 range rover, 28 with no no claims
-
buy landrover owner internation mag and have a look in the back, thers loads to choose from
-
Dew1911 thats utter crap, you dont need a link to the agriculture to use NFU and havent for a few years now. NFU mutual are now a mainstream insurer just like any other.
And this information came directly from the NFU office locally cos i spoke to them earlier about insuring a normal car that is not farm related!
-
buy landrover owner internation mag and have a look in the back, thers loads to choose from
And most of them are cr@p
NFU are the dog's for landie insurance
-
Got to recommend NFU any time renewal quote came in £150 cheaper then the nearest competitor.
I,ve got no conections to farming either suggest you try phoning the NFU office you got your quote from and ask them where the next nearest office is and try them for a quote, worked for me.

I think the trick with the NFU is to already be a customer - we have the building/contents insurance for the Lincs house through them - they insured SWMBOs Eunos with no problem and a very competitive price.
And their service in the event of a claim is excellent
