Title: Flash only MPS player. What does it mean?
Post by: muddyjames on April 18, 2006, 14:31:27
I have seen this mp3 player http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-GB-MP4-MP3-player-w-Speaker-FM-radio-1-5-5OBS_W0QQitemZ9714035919QQcategoryZ122656QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem on Eblag and wondered if it was any good or not.

What does flash only mean?

What does flash only mean?

I assume they mean that it has solid state Flash memory storage and does not have a mini hard drive.  Cheers.

No moving bits with the storage.  Like a digital camera storage card.  As to if this unit is any good - one of the guys at work bought a 1GB version off Ebay, he says for the price it is good but the menus were not very intuitive and the manual is complete gibberish !  Cheers.

It has a fixed internal memory, you cant put any larger memory into it, like with the units that take sd or cf cards, as time goes by you could upgrade the mem cards on them

I'm trying to get my dell x5 to read a 2gig sd card at the mo but its not agreeing with me
